One of her most fulfilling achievements was as associate producer of the restoration of Orson Welles' Othello. The film took four years for Welles to make and won him the Prize for Best Feature Film at the 1952 Cannes Film Festival. Welles' "flawed masterpiece" was restored and premiered again at Cannes, exactly 40 years later. Today, it remains one of the greatest achievements of his career.

In addition, she co-produced OKLAHOMA CITY DOLLS, a comedy about women and sports for ABC, which subsequently aired on Lifetime, A&E and Showtime. As associate producer of Thousand Pieces of Gold , Ms. Lyon helped to create a film based on Ruthanne Lum McCune's book which received critical acclaim in film and international cultural circles.

Thousand Pieces of Gold is a true story of a Chinese immigrant woman's experiences on America's western frontier during the gold rush. This critically acclaimed feature film chronicles the story of a young Chinese woman sold by her destitute father and brought to America to be a slave.
